Flowers
29/08/2008 by Woodsy.
May 2006, amazing sunshine, so warm and fresh, I just had to be out with the camera. At the time I was at university in Leicester studying for my BSc in Computing. This shot was taken within the De Montfort University gardens, and is my favourite of the set. It completely summarises my experience of the day, the vivid colours, the superb framing, so fresh – what a wonderful summer that was. Taken at 35mm at f11.

Tranquil Viaduct
29/08/2008 by Woodsy.
The atmosphere when taking this shot was amazing. During a day-long hike around the Peak District (2006) the weather had been largely calm but overcast, somewhat hindering our photography opportunities. However upon stopping for a well earned breather I began to suspect the clearing ahead would offer an interesting vantage point, this coupled with the interesting calm that seemed to settle over the valley created this magical little scene. Taken with a Nikon D70 at 70mm f8.
